So, here’s a massage scene where the err… “massee”? starts fully naked. What do you think about this? I can’t say I’m a fan, I much prefer just a little bit of mystery, a reveal. We don’t necessarily have to go back to the early days of Massage Rooms where a woman had wandered into the studio in blissful ignorance and is shocked at the unpermitted removal of their towel. But at least let’s have a bloody towel!
Plus it’s really hard for me to get a soft thumbnail for twitter. Had some audio issues with this scene, they’ve been using a wireless mic on location, which I’m all for, cables are very much the scourge of a film set. But it’s picked up some kind of interference here and I’ve had to try to fix some buzzing.
I’ve tried, but there’s only so much you can do with sound, once it’s there it’s there. You can filter, but the more you remove the unwanted noise the more you tend to disturb the natural frequencies of the audio, you don’t want to push it too far in my opinion. But, you’ve got to try and do something because as a wise old film teacher once told me “everybody notices bad sound but nobody notices good sound”.
